Our new performing arts group for children between the ages of 8-16, teaching acting and singing in a fun and friendly environment, runs every Tuesday during term time and half terms.
The group are working towards our Christmas musical theatre performance of 'The Mean One Who Stole Christmas'. We are also pleased to announce that children will also perform at this year's 'Maldon Christmas Fayre' for a Dickensian themed Carol/Christmas singing for the public. On 31st October things will get spooky in our Halloween 'Spooktacular games and scare' party. Then from January, we will start to rehearse towards a summer performance.
Our weekly clubs are great for confidence building, improving social and performance skills, and a great way to make new friends, as well as share and show their creativity, and most importantly have fun. Unlike other performing arts clubs, our shows are bespoke to the children and their abilities, therefore we aim to cast our shows based on each child's needs and wants. If a child is a good singer or actor, we make sure they have their solo to shine. If a child wants to sing or act but needs 'bringing out of their shell' we make sure they have the right part in the show to do that. We do not cast children to just be in the background.
Our workshops are run by experienced tutors who hold enhanced DBS checks, who aim to provide a safe and friendly environment.
No previous performance experience necessary. All levels of skills are welcome.
Please sign your child up first if they wish to attend. The first week is a free taster session. There is no obligation to join after this session, but we will provide you with the necessary forms to take home, to complete and return the following week, if your child wishes to come back.
The monthly direct debit fee from 1st October is £40 per child and £20 for each additional sibling*. There are no hidden fees, no cancellation or production fees, and we provide all the costumes and props for each show.
We only have a limited number of places, so please sign up now to reserve your child a space.
* Fees are paid via direct debit and will be charged monthly between October and July, we do not charge for August as we do not run during Christmas, Easter or Summer holidays. Fees are spread equally over the 10 month period for a total of 34 sessions. Part refunds will be issued if sessions are cancelled by us.
