NOW RECRUITING TO PERFORM AT THIS YEAR'S
MALDON CHRISTMAS FAYRE
Our new performing arts group for children between the ages of 8-16, teaching acting and singing in a fun and friendly environment is recruiting to perform two 30 minute slots at this year's Maldon Christmas Fayre.
Maldon Christmas Fayre, which this year takes place on 30th November, attracts thousands of people from the local community to come to Maldon High Street. The High Street is closed off for the evening to stools selling food and gifts, shops remain open, and lots of entertainment is offered to get everyone in the Christmas spirit. This year, NTA Workshops CIC is taking part offering children in the local community a chance to sing Christmas songs with a Dickensian 'A Christmas Carol' theme. Singing, lamps, costumes and snow machines...perfect to get any child in the mood for Christmas and to perform for the local community,
Our rehearsals will start soon where we will rehearse for 2 hours a week. Once the Christmas Fayre is over, should your child wish to stay with us, we will start to rehearse towards a 2024 performance.
Our clubs are great for confidence building, improving social and performance skills. It's a great way to make new friends, as well as share and show their creativity, and most importantly have fun. Unlike other performing arts clubs, our shows are bespoke to the children and their abilities, therefore we aim to cast our shows based on each child's needs and wants. If a child is a good singer or actor, we make sure they have their solo to shine. If a child wants to sing or act but needs 'bringing out of their shell' we make sure they have the right part in the show to do that. We do not cast children to just be in the background.
Our workshops are run by experienced tutors who hold enhanced DBS checks, who aim to provide a safe and friendly environment.
No previous performance experience necessary. All levels of skills are welcome.
Please sign your child up if they are interested in taking part.
Rehearsal venue and times are to be confirmed in the next few weeks. Like other clubs we charge a monthly fee, however because we are a Community Interest Company (CIC) and therefore a not for profit registered company, we always make sure these fees stay affordable. We do not charge any enrolment, production or costume fees. We do offer discount rates for siblings.
We will only have a limited number of places, so please register your child's interest now to reserve your child a space.
